National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is the country's highest state-funded scientific institution, coordinating fundamental and applied research across the natural, technical, and social sciences. It was founded in 1918 in Kyiv as the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences and took its current form and name after Ukrainian independence in 1991. It is governed by a president elected by its full membership.
