Airborne Assault Forces of Ukraine
The Airborne Assault Forces of Ukraine are a separate branch of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, combining airmobile and airborne assault units. Their primary mission is parachute assault and strike operations behind enemy lines, as well as participation in stabilisation and defensive operations. Units of this branch have been heavily engaged in combat during Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, operating on multiple sectors of the front. They are commanded by the Airborne Assault Forces Command, which reports to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
