Air Assault Forces of Ukraine
The Air Assault Forces of Ukraine (DShV) are a separate branch of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, consisting of air assault and airmobile brigades. They fall under the Command of the Air Assault Forces, which is part of the Ground Forces. DShV brigades have taken part in operations during the Russian full-scale invasion, including defensive and counter-offensive actions. The branch was established in 1992 on the basis of Soviet airborne units stationed in Ukraine.
