Admiral Kuznetsov
Admiral Kuznetsov is a heavy aircraft-carrying missile cruiser of Project 1143.5 (Krechet), operated by the Russian Northern Fleet. It is the only ship of its class built by the Soviet Union and Russia, launched in 1985 and formally commissioned in the 1990s. The vessel has been deployed on cruises to the Mediterranean, including operations off Syria, and underwent a long and troubled refit marked by repeated accidents and breakdowns.
