3rd Assault Brigade
The 3rd Assault Brigade is a formation of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, known by the callsign "Azov". It was re-established in 2023 as a separate assault unit on the basis of the brigade of the same name that fought in the battle of Mariupol in 2022. The brigade operates in eastern Ukraine and has taken part in offensive operations in the Donetsk sector. It falls within the command structure of the Ukrainian Ground Forces.

Ukraine's Third Army Corps confirms "Vivaldi" offensive near Lyman
Ukraine's Third Army Corps publicly confirmed on September 15 that it has been running an offensive operation codenamed "Vivaldi" in the northern part of Donetsk Oblast, east and northeast of Lyman. The corps revealed details of the first phase, which targeted Russian troop infiltration and logistics, and reported Russian losses in personnel, drones and equipment. The announcement broke months of operational secrecy around the fighting.
