Russia hits Kyiv with massive combined missile and drone attack overnight, killing at least two
On the night of September 7–8, Russian forces struck Kyiv with a combined barrage of ballistic, cruise, and anti-ship missiles alongside Shahed-type drones. At least two people were killed and more than a dozen injured, with damage recorded across multiple districts of the capital, including the Taras Shevchenko metro station. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said the attack came hours after US presidential envoys left the city, breaking a three-day mutual pause on strikes on the two capitals arranged for their visit.
