Why it matters

The General Staff's morning summary is the daily official snapshot of combat intensity along the entire line of contact. It identifies the Pokrovsk and Hulyaipole axes as the current focal points of Russian pressure and quantifies the firepower Russia is expending in a single day — guided bombs, Shahed-type drones and heavy shelling — which together set the baseline for any later reporting on losses, territory and resupply demands.
